Tsunami Information and how to help:
“"Indifference is the essence of inhumanity."
— George Bernard Shaw, Anglo-Irish dramatist and wit (1856-1950)"

Child sleeping holding donated food
As the death tolls reach 120,000, about 40 World Trade Centers put together, and the possibility of that number doubling as days go by, the suffering remains unimaginable, the individual losses unthinkable. Close to 5 million people have become homeless overnight.
Children have lost their parents, parents have lost their children, their homes gone, their lives destroyed, and because nature proves its power without discrimination, people of all countries, all races, all religions, all economic status were violently hit.
The countries directly on the path of the Tsunami were:
Indonesia
Sri Lanka
India
Thailand
Somalia
Burma
Maldives
Malaysia
Tanzania
Seychelles
Bangladesh
Kenya
and tourists from all over the world were in the areas affected.
If you are looking for relatives or friends in the areas affected, here are some hotlines:
To contact representatives from India, call +91 11 2309 3054
To reach Thailand, call their emergency hotline at +66 2643 5262 and 2643 5000;
for Phuket enquiries call +66 076 240 729; +66 076 216 118; +66 076 223 141

In the Maldives, the government hotline is +44 20 7224 2149
For more information on travelers in the Seychelles, call +248 321 676
Hong Kong residents who are stranded or require help should call the Immigration Department hotline on (852) 2829 3010
The United States has set up a toll-free number to call for information about American citizens in the region: 1-888-407-4747.
Some of the smaller islands are calling for help burying the dead because there aren't enough living to bury all the corpses.
It is time we do what we should do all along, and join in the effort to help those who need it.

Support the arts by shopping
Hi everyone
Shameless plug in for our new site:
http://www.beholders.org
which will be officially launched very very soon and is being beta launched tonight.
We are open to suggestions for articles and topics.
The main theme is Body/Mind/Spirit and for once we are aiming for pure, non partisan articles.
That is also the site where we will be reselling the amazing Xootr scooters at incredible discounts.
Any profits will be used for our arts programs.
Check it out and if you know anyone who needs a scooter that was made for adults and older children by race car and competition bike designers instead of by toy manufactures, send them our way ;)
